As an SOA platform administrator, you contribute to IT efficiency. You design, configure, administer, maintain and upgrade computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization's needs.
You analyze and diagnose complex issues and situations related to your field. You provide advice in accordance with the rules of your discipline in order to recommend solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs. You propose appropriate implementation plans. Your projects and initiatives require in depth knowledge of your field.
You coordinate the planning, design and execution of projects and initiatives. You help solve complex problems that require analysis and in-depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields.
You serve as subject matter expert for your unit, clients and partners.
General Information on the Position
More specifically, you work in the IT Foundations and Cloud Services Administrative Department, which has over 200 people operating in an agile at scale and DevOps mode and is responsible for the company's high-criticality platforms. You work in a mission-critical 24/7 environment with the discipline that such work entails (automated testing, continuous non-regression, proactive alerts, stress and intrusion testing, etc.). The team requires 24/7 platform support on a rotation basis. You support and develop the following technologies: Broadcom / CA API Gateway (Layer7), TIBCO (AMX Service GRID and BusinessWorks) and an infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Develop and maintain tools and scripts (Bash or Python) for automating system monitoring and verification tasks, and carry out post-implementation follow-up to ensure system availability.
Develop and maintain tools and scripts (Bash or Python) for automating repetitive tasks and to reduce human error and response times.
Monitor the quality of IT services, and promptly identify situations that could jeopardize IT environment stability by analyzing and determining the criticality of recurring incidents and making recommendations.
Identify situations that could significantly affect environmental quality and stability, and make recommendations based on the impacts and risks or opportunities for improvement associated with change management.
Help improve business continuity by developing, implementing and supporting backup systems.
Help various teams solve problems and document the critical steps so the teams can solve them autonomously if they occur again.

Work schedule: Availability to provide support on a rotating 24/7 schedule (1 week out of 6)

Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least four years of relevant experience, with a minimum of two years in a cloud computing environment
Experience with multiple data exchange formats (JSON, CSV, XML, YAML)
Experience in delivery, deployment and continuous monitoring (an asset)
Experience working in Agile and DevOps mode (SAFe is an asset)

Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Bash, Python
Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower
Knowledge of the Linux environment
