The School of Continuing Studies (SCS), with two main divisions - the English Language Institute (YUELI) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE), is a large and complex revenue-generating education enterprise serving the diverse needs of international students seeking pre-university English language education as well as domestic and international professionals seeking to upgrade their professional skills, change careers or obtain a Canadian education or credential. It is expected to generate a potential pool of undergraduate as well as graduate students for the University to achieve its degree program enrolment targets.
In this role you will play a lead role in the development, implementation and support of systems and web applications that enable core school-wide academic and administrative processes, including but not limited to Student Information, CRM and Learning Management systems and special web-based projects. You will ensure content, functionality, quality and presentation support the objectives and priorities of the School. You will serve as the technical resource to projects for these applications. Your role will be working with stakeholders, taking application development from concept to implementation and provide advanced level development and support for existing software.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
A University degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology and 6 years current experience in the analysis, design, development and deployment of web-based applications of which 5 years' experience working with APIs (application programming interfaces) in development, 3 years web development including integration of e-commerce related applications and demonstrated experience with multiple systems' integration and 3 years design services (RESTful and/or SOAP) are required.
