YEARLY SALARY:  $124,107 – $131,966

A proven leader with a well-defined philosophy of service delivery, you will provide strategic direction and leadership in a multi-faceted organization to unionized and non-unionized staff, who provide information technology services and support to all schools/departments throughout the District. Working collaboratively with Senior Staff, the Program Team, schools and other LDSB departments to support and further our strategic goals as well as the strategies identified in our Board Plan for Student Achievement, you continually seek opportunities to assess and increase end-user satisfaction, including the development and monitoring of key performance indicators and the use of digital technologies to support learning for students and staff. Your vision and leadership will drive the development, implementation, review and refinement of technology and associated infrastructure, procedures, strategies and initiatives that support student learning, instructional practice, administrative processes and business services, ensuring alignment with system needs, thereby sustaining excellence in academic, operational and administrative information technology management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in computer science, business or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience, education and training
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a related field as well as five years' progressive management experience, including strategic planning and the tactful execution of established goals, budgeting, staff supervision and performance management
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with the ability to support innovation and lead change, achieve high standards and expectations for quality service while building a positive and productive ITS department
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with IT processes and visioning related to using digital technologies to support staff and student learning, including Change Management, ServiceDesk Management and delivery, Software Portfolio Management, Security Incident Response, Disaster Recovery planning, Infrastructure Management and planning, and Cloud Readiness.
  • Demonstrated IT Project-Management expertise (PMI or equivalent with exemplary planning and organization skills and the ability to manage and lead multiple projects related to the LDSB ITS Long-Term Plan)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in order to successfully work under tight timelines in a highly client-service focused environment
  • Demonstrated team-building, problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills, including the ability to facilitate group discussion and gain consensus working with diverse groups at all levels within the organization and within the community
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT risks to ensure the protection, integrity, security, accessibility and privacy of all electronic information

The Limestone District School Board, located on the shores of Lake Ontario proudly serves approximately 19,206 students at 51 elementary schools, 11 secondary schools, and Limestone Community Education Centres in the Townships Central Frontenac, Addington Highlands, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Loyalist and Stone Mills, as well the Town of Greater Napanee and Kingston and the Islands.
