This position will be a work from home position to start and then may transition into our corporate head office on 6080 Young Street, Halifax, NS. As a member of the Internet Engineering team, the Network Analyst will be responsible for implementing and supporting various access technologies which may include Internet, Video and Telephone services. A technical problem solver who will assist with various Operations Teams responsible for our access network. The successful candidate will need to be able to program in Python and Ruby and has to be proficient in the Linux environment.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure proper monitoring is performed throughout the access network, report trending and highlight areas of concern.
  • Use data to derive solutions and make recommendations to enhance the network’s performance
  • Lead and manage the execution of projects initiated by the Network Engineering Team

Qualifications:

  • A minimum 3-5 years experience in Computer Programming, Linux Administration and Networking
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Programming or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot switches and routers.
  • Experience in programming using Ruby, Python, and other languages.
  • Familiar with a Linux environment.
  • Able to multitask and deliver on multiple projects efficiently
