A management role overseeing the district's ICT projects and day-to-day operations, ensuring that staff are efficiently and effectively supported at every district site.
As a central member of the district's ICT department, the Information and Communications (ICT) Operations Manager's role is wide-ranging, involving collaboration and project work with colleagues in the ICT department, schools and other district sites.
The primary responsibility of the ICT Operations Manager is to ensure that the district's help desk system is serving the needs of technicians and end-users. The role involves delegating daily help-desk tickets to ICT technicians and field support staff while balancing the distribution of work according to the end user's needs and the department's priorities.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Director of ICT, Infrastructure Manager and Application Support Coordinator on ICT planning, operations, reviews, and new technology roll-outs, including developing technology plans for school principals, managers and directors.
The successful candidate has at least five years of experience managing ICT operational assignments and projects, superior international, interpersonal and presentation skills, and demonstrated knowledge of networking and telecommunications principles.
