SomaDetect is looking for a Regional Territory Sales Manager to join its dynamic team. This role will play a critical part in developing and building out the channel partner network and sales infrastructure for their assigned region to achieve revenue targets/goals. You will work closely with leadership, networks, and influencers to grow brand awareness and support the sales strategy with proven technology that has the ability to impact the dairy industry in a large way.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Territory Sales Manager will include:

  • Sourcing, developing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships within the industry to grow market share with channel partners, farmers, and influencers.
  • Handling sales process from leads to quote to close; as well as assist the channel partner network in closing sales and onboarding new relationships.
  • Locating and closing agreements with channel partners as well as influencers to help grow and meet your revenue targets/goals.
  • Working with other departments and maintain a pulse on any R & D projects at your prospective clients' farms and facilitate where necessary.
  • Working in between product, marketing, and sales to grow and retain customers.
  • Keeping leadership informed by submitting activity and result reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Attending conferences and industry events to promote the company and attract new partners/clients.
  • Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Performing cost-benefit (ROI) and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.


On your resume, we ask that you outline the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or sales is preferred.
  • 3+ years working experience in dairy/agriculture.
  • Valid Driving license with a clean driving record
  • Deep understanding of Milk Quality, Dairy Nutrition and Reproduction are considered an asset.
  • Experience working with a CRM (HubSpot)
  • Ability to identify opportunities and prospects, build customer relationships and close sales.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions and flexibility to travel within your assigned territory including some evenings and weekends on occasion.

Working Conditions

This position is a field-based position that requires approximately 50% travel within your defined territory, nationally and internationally (Not all travel will require overnight stays.) This position involves a high volume of time visiting client sites (farms, industrial settings, etc.). The role requires schedule flexibility, including availability on some nights and weekends, to adapt to time zones & travel requirements. When not travelling, you will work remotely from your home office.
