Embeded Software Engineer Bms

We are looking for an Embeded Software Engineer BMS who wishes to showcase their sense of innovation and work in an environment where collaboration is a core value. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

As a member of the electric vehicle and propulsion development team, your primary role will be to study, design and develop various electrical and mechatronic systems. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Developing and simulating BMS algorithms in Simulink format
• Defining, with the help of the BMS team, future directions for strategies to develop and validate high‑level software layers
• Developing BMS control and diagnostic functions
• Developing the specifications and instructions to support calls for tenders from suppliers of battery and BMS components
• Developing and executing the test plans required to validate technical solutions, in accordance with established standards
• Collaborating with suppliers to develop electric and electronic components as well as to determine the timelines and standards to follow

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• You have a bachelor's degree in electrical, computer or software engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant domain
• You master French and English (written and spoken) as you will have to communicate with stakeholders based in Quebec and outside of Quebec or monolingual English speaker on a daily basis
• You are proficient in Embedded C programming, MATLAB and Simulink
• You have the ability to understand and integrate electric, electronic, software and mechanical principles
• You are familiar with vehicle communications networks (CANs) and associated protocols
• You have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems, and a capacity for creative innovation
• You demonstrate controller programming knowledge for rapid prototyping and knowledge in mobile application development
• You are at ease in an environment where technical solutions are not known and processes have yet to be developed, and you are comfortable with predictive analysis methods
• You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• You have a strong interest in driving and designing recreational and performance vehicles
• You are willing to travel on occasion
