Your future role on our team

  • Carry out engineering projects based on the IEC 61850 - Digital Power Systems standard;
  • Serve in various roles, including project leader and proposal leader;
  • Stipulate which telecommunications equipment is required in power grid automation and protection systems;
  • Develop telecommunications network architecture for substation projects;
  • Configure telecommunications equipment;
  • Conduct testing in the BBA digital power systems lab;
  • Commission digital power systems on site;
  • Serve as a technical reference on the team;
  • Expand your fields of expertise to include switchgear, protection, automation and supervision of medium- and high-voltage substations.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or DCS in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, automated production engineering, telecommunications or network administration or any other relevant training;
  • Available to travel to our BBA offices across Canada;
  • Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites in Canada;
  • Bilingual (English and French);
  • Asset: Knowledge of the IEC 61850 standard and the PRP, PTP, SNTP, MMS, GOOSE and SV communication standards;
  • Asset: Knowledge of critical telecommunications system design and configuration.
