The Pharmacy Solutions team is a dynamic cross functional team within TELUS Health which manages the leading Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS) across Canada. As a primary source of patient records dispensing information, the PMS is crucial to supporting 3rd party vendors and integrators.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you'll collaborate with a diverse user-centric product and development team to deliver innovative integrations, streamlined processes and critical projects that prioritize scalability, reliability and efficiency to help take our customer journey and overall business to the next level. We are seeking a curious, independent and experienced individual who can work easily in a matrix organization to develop and execute on initiatives that support present and future product needs.

What you'll do

  • Solve complex challenges with a team of passionate business and product owners, rolling up your sleeves to develop and execute creative solutions
  • Establish a technical roadmap for our overall API stack; bringing integrations and services to life from concept to delivery and driving efficiency through our development processes
  • Own and drive our integration strategy, advancing the TELUS Health ecosystem strategy; acting as project manager to develop vision, project plan and track implementation of certain initiatives
  • Creating, maintaining and grooming a backlog of user stories you will drive; refine and adjust your delivery plans to reflect detailed scope, effort, and priority, as it becomes available from project teams and development leads
  • Spearhead initiatives to mature our delivery practices including automation, testing and deployment practices
  • Effectively connect the dots between technology, architecture, business, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with architecture, product management and development teams to understand feature roadmap and technical requirements
  • Work with the business to understand needs and document requirements for front and back-end system changes; manage these changes throughout the lifecycle by working closely with the lead architect and developers
  • Follow technical trends in the industry and maintain your technology expertise
  • Effectively communicate strategy and roadmap for a non-technical audience, in verbal and written form, including presentations
  • Support business case development to identify opportunities, garner stakeholder buy-in and secure resources and funding
  • Lead your peers by example in using agile practices and values by actively participating, driving discussions, and empowering team members to make decisions

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology (computer science, data sciences, or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of previous technical or software development experience with a strong foundation in and knowledge of agile process and principles
  • Understanding of cloud and local APIs, interface agreements, etc.
  • Recognized for your work in any combination of product management, solutioning, development, or engineering
  • Excel in a collaborative and cross-functional setting, with an ability to co-create and execute with other business primes; interest in learning from others, and in teaching others
  • Experience delivering complex solutions, while making the case for intelligent trade-offs between delivery time/quality/scope and cost; can foresee escalations and proactively solve delivery issues
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills are necessary - must be able to schedule and manage multiple complex tasks
  • Seasoned in gathering customer needs and requirements and being able to expose them into organized development items

Great-to-haves
