Senior System Administrator

Tasks/Responsibilities

The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for a multitude of IT projects for a large company making several acquisitions in Canada.

MORE PRECISELY

• Integrate new businesses into the IT infrastructure
• Contribute to the migration of more than 350 servers to the Cloud
• Handle complex incidents and support more junior/intermediate administrators
• Carry out system updates as well as backups and mitigate vulnerabilities
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of IT services
• Develop procedures and keep technical documentation up to date
• Participate in the creation of automation scripts and the development of tools

PROFILE

• 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator
• Professional experience with Windows and/or Linux servers
• Experience in database administration (asset), knowledge of Nutanix, MySQL, PostgreSQL (assets)
• Technical versatility and strong interest in a variety of IT projects
• Experience in cloud computing (Azure and AWS), and ideally in migration from On-premise to Cloud
• Knowledge of automation (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Ruby, Bash, and/or Azure CLI)
• Experience managing services in a production Docker cluster, ideally ECS or EKS
• Good knowledge of IT security (Cisco products, Fortinet firewall)
• Strong knowledge of DNS, SSL, and SNMP services
• Experience with Microsoft Intune (strong asset)
• Mastery of ISO 2700 and 27001 standards
• Comfort in an Agile environment and in monitoring Jira Kanban projects
• Strong autonomy and collaborative spirit
• BAC in computer science or equivalent
• Bilingualism required (French and English)
