The Procurement Sr. Analyst will be responsible for conducting analyses and developing financial models to support the procurement function, while executing sourcing strategies for key categories (e.g. food, paper, services, construction and equipment). The position liaises with Marketing, Development, Operations, and/or Design functions to support the Tim Hortons Brand. The Procurement Sr. Analyst will actively prioritize and manage the following key activities and responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Executes in procurement strategy for assigned category(ies) including sourcing and contingencies
  • Supports in assessing business risks associated with the procurement of goods or services in assigned category and ensures transparency of risk (supply shortages, long lead times, backorders, etc.)
  • Supports Lead with sourcing and onboarding new vendors in the RBI supply chain and managing the termination of vendors when applicable
  • Researches, analyzes, and interprets financial information and market trends
  • Develops financial and comparative cost models to analyse deals and offers to determine viability and profitability
  • Measures supplier performance, identifies performance improvement initiatives and supports corrective actions as required
  • Participates in the negotiation of purchase prices and executes business tenders
  • Drives purchase cost savings initiatives which consistently improve restaurant profitability
  • Participates in regular cross-functional category team meetings as the strategic sourcing Lead to make sourcing recommendations and highlights supply risks
  • Acts as point of contact with select vendors in assigned category to resolve issues impacting restaurant owners
  • Monitors and updates cost change, submits requests to create new and delist old items in the system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred
  • 2+ years in procurement, supply chain or related function
  • Team player with strong communication and problem solving skills as well as leadership capabilities
  • Develops financial models to analyse deals and offers to determine viability and profitability
  • Strong analytical skills (researching, analyzing and interpreting data)
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Category specific purchasing experience preferred
  • QSR, food processing, retail or CPG experience preferred
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP ERP software is a plus
