What you'll do
Working in the Canadian Tire IT Department, you will be a member of the Solution Delivery Team responsible for both support and the delivery of new and evolutionary digital loyalty technology solutions for the Canadian Tire enterprise, its partners, and its customers. You will be responsible for elevating our Loyalty solutions through disruptive thinking and innovative problem solving. The successful candidate will be supporting the squad by applying technical knowledge and skills in two ways. The first is to maintain the stability and availability of CTC's Loyalty & Customer Insights production applications. The second is to deliver new technical solutions that enable business features for CTC's Loyalty & Customer Insights team.
In this role, you'll:
Develop an evolving knowledge of all supported applications, their interfaces, and technical environment
Accountable for enabling successful business outcomes across the loyalty solution stack with a special focus on designing and helping partner groups build production capabilities and reduce technical debt/risks
Provide hands-on support spanning across requirement analysis, solution design, build, test and implementing solutions
Maintain strong relationships with peers and other internal and external stakeholders across IT and Business Teams
Work with other team members to provide 2nd level incident support during business hours
Provide guidance and SME direction as to the best course of action to restore production during major incidents
Oversee the development and implementation of root cause fixes to prevent recurring problems
Provide guidance to the business regarding the testing and validation of new business scenarios
What you bring
Domain Expertise:
At least five years experience as a systems analyst within a Unix or Windows platform environment
Excellent working knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Access)
Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related Extract-Transform-and-Load (ETL) processes
Experience with batch and API based (SOAP, RESTful) system to system integrations
Experience with job scheduling and exposure to Enterprise Scheduling Platforms (ESP)
Experience with structured programming skills in any or all of the following languages: C#, C++, Kornshell, Java
Working experience with the Agile/SCRUM project approach
