The position is based out of the Holt Renfrew Store Support Centre and reports directly to the SVP, Retail. The Business Continuity Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring an organization's operational resilience during disruptions.

Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role:

  • Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and implementation of business continuity plans across all business units and functional areas nationally

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the organization, evaluate potential threats, and develop strategies to mitigate their impacts

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to create comprehensive disaster recovery plans

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, legal, and communications, to respond effectively during emergencies. This includes managing communication protocols, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.

  • Facilitate regular business continuity exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of existing plans.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure business continuity strategies are aligned with overall risk management objectives

  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for disaster recovery and business continuity documentation

  • Manage quarterly reviews of changes in corporate resources with respective management teams to ensure the effectiveness of recovery procedures and backup capabilities

  • Ensure recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and the resumption of critical business processes

  • Protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the business recovery and disaster recovery plans

The Ideal Candidate will offer:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Over 10 years of experience leading complex operations in high-volume and/or multi-unit business environments, ideally within the luxury fashion sector

  • Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute short and long-term business strategies

  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships and partnerships within the business, community, and with customers.

  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, with a proven track record of achieving results

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required

  • Confident and effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change

  • Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
