The role of the developer is to help plan and coordinate the adaptation and rollout of applications and technologies in the organization's environment as well as develop and implement solutions. To perform this role successfully, the developer must be bilingual (French and English) and demonstrate proven communication and problem-solving skills, extensive knowledge of programming languages and data structures, and the ability to integrate best practices.

A day in the life of an analyst

  • Assist in identifying business needs contained in Azure DevOps user stories, and analyzing and documenting programs and applications using OneNote.
  • Work together with the team of developers and business analysts to understand the need, develop the solution on the AgilePoint or Office 365 platform, code and test.
  • Write system specifications, operating procedures and methods. Develop OneNote documents and prepare and deliver training for users.
  • Identify and analyze problems, determine their causes, and follow-up and resolve them on the AgilePoint or Office 365 platform.
  • Ensure that data is secure at all times on the following platforms: AgilePoint, Office 365, SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Participate in implementing and testing the applications developed in AgilePoint and Office 365.
  • Analyze complex problems, determine the causes and follow up on system problems during critical incidents to ensure that they are resolved.
  • Follow best practices and optimize the operation of the AgilePoint and Office 365 systems.

What we are looking for

  • 5 years of direct experience in developing applications at the enterprise level
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills in both French and English
  • Experience in analyzing business and technical requirements, modelling and mapping business processes, developing methodologies and mapping data
  • Experience in developing administrative systems (ERP, RCMP and HRIS)
  • Experience in working with Agile methodology,
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office
  • Hands-on experience using automated integration tools, including AgilePoint and UI Path
  • Technical fluency in programming languages, including JavaScript, .Net and C#
  • Familiarity and experience with protocols and API approaches such as SOAP and REST
  • Knowledge of network protocols and standards, especially Microsoft Network and Cloud (Azure, AWS)
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (an asset) 
  • Keen interest in learning about the latest technological developments and new technologies
  • Understanding end user needs and requirements
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Ability to simplify technical issues
