The CAO is a delegated administrative authority that supports condo living and enhances consumer protection by providing services and resources that reach all condo communities across Ontario. We are accountable to the government through and Administrative Agreement with the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery. Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results, and providing insights to guide business decisions. You will develop subject matter expertise and strong relationships. You will collaborate with people across the organization and fosters a culture of data-driven decision making and data literacy


Key responsibilities

Data Collection and Preparation:

• Collaborate with various teams to identify data sources and collect relevant data.

• Clean, transform, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and suitability for analysis.

Data Analysis:

• Utilize statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.

• Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in the data to support business objectives.

• Perform exploratory data analysis to discover hidden insights.

Reporting and Visualization:

• Work closely with key stakeholders to identify reporting needs that will facilitate data-driven decision making.

• Develop clear and informative dashboards, charts, and visualizations to present to stakeholders.

• Create recurring reports and automate data visualization processes where possible.

Interpretation and Insight Generation:

• Translate complex data into understandable insights that drive decision-making.

• Collaborate with business teams to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations.

Data Quality and Integrity:

• Define, maintain, and communicate the data "source of truth" for cross-functional teams to use in assessing performance and quality.

• Identify and address data discrepancies or anomalies.

• Make recommendations to business teams, and management based on data analysis findings that support actionable solutions.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, managers, and directors, to understand requirements and provide analytical support.

• Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis.

• Proactively suggest process improvements and ways to enhance data analysis efficiency.

Qualifications, skills & knowledge

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics).

• Demonstrated 4+ years of data-driven decision-making experience.

• Strong SQL, Python, or R skills with the ability to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.

• 2+ years of working with PowerBI to create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards.

• Experience creating surveys and knowledge of Question Design best practices.

• Experience with standard and advanced data analysis techniques such as regression, trend lines, forecasting, modeling, clustering, Hypothesis Testing, Content Analysis and Narrative Analysis.

Nice to Haves:

• Working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise Platform (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE) and AutoCAD.

• Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling is a plus.

• Experience working with 3rd party vendors and development partners.

Other Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear and understandable manner.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
