Position Profile

We are looking for an experienced Application Architect to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our custom Web Services and Web Applications. As an integral part of the development team, you will collaborate closely with business, charity clients, developers, analysts, data engineers, and operations to ensure all applications and services meet business requirements. Reporting to VP IT, you will play an essential part in solution design, architecture, code development, implementation, and maintenance of API Web Services and Web Applications.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in requirements gathering with business, charities, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Propose and develop solutions using technical specifications, workflow charts, and diagrams.
  • Solicit approvals and obtain sign-offs on technical solutions from all stakeholders.
  • Create architectural and implementation plans, design and develop software applications, collaborate with developers and operations teams, manage SDLC, and ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
  • Ensure applications are developed securely, scalable, meets established coding standards and best practices, and deployed effectively and efficiently.
  • Vigilantly monitor and upgrade all applications and platforms to ensure OS and Application Servers are secure and protected against potential security breaches.
  • Fully participate with operations and support on all applications.

What You Bring

Your Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in system architecture, microservices, service-oriented architecture, software design patterns, code development, data encryption, secure data transmission, access control, integration, testing, documentation, and operational maintenance of secure, database driven APIs, Web Services and Web Applications in a Microsoft Server and Azure Cloud environments.

Your Skills, Competencies, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions on time.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your Technical skills

  • In-Depth knowledge and experience in API Gateways, REST, SOAP, OAuth, Entity Framework and Dapper, .Net, SQL, Bootstrap, JQuery, Node.js, and React.

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience with application development.
