Responsibilities

The ERP System Administrator is primarily responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of the Ellucian Colleague ERP web applications (Webadvisor and Self Service), Colleague User Interface (Web UI) and Ellucian Colleague ERP reporting solutions (CROA and Synoptix). In addition, is responsible for the daily tasks associated in the operation and stability of these environments, monitoring of performance and troubleshooting of any hardware/software issues. This position requires that we stay current with software upgrades and patches. This position will work closely with other team members so must have an overall understanding of the Colleague environment.

Reporting to the Director of Information Management and Systems, the successful candidate will:

1. Install and configure software and all the required WebAdvisor/Self Service components such as Servlet exec, java, .NET, IIS, Visual Studio. Work with Unix administrator to create listeners, assign ports, etc.;
2. Configure WebAdvisor/Self Service using Colleague UI and SA Valet;
3. Install and configure Web UI software and maintain client specific parameters and settings. Work with Unix administrator to create listeners, assign ports, etc.;
4. Monitor performance and maintain an overall understanding of the linkages to Colleague environment;
5. Provide user support and troubleshoot any issues;
6. Install and configure SAP Business Objects software, maintain user access and security;
7. Work with business unit to discuss reporting and data needs;
8. Maintain/customize data transforms, universes and/or queries/filters;
9. Install and configure Synoptix client and server software, maintain user access and security;
10. Install and configure web portal;
11. Provide user support and troubleshoot any reported issues;
12. Ensure proper functioning and optimal performance of windows servers for the various applications that integrate/communicate with Colleague ERP;
13. Investigate and resolve issues with access, connectivity and configuration of the ERP environments;
14. Perform other duties directly related to this position as assigned.

Qualifications

• Honors undergraduate degree (4 years);
• Three to five years of related experience;
• Working knowledge of Windows server, Web Servers, SQL, AIX/Unix, IIS, SAP Business Objects, MMC and Servlet Exec;
• Knowledge and understanding of CSS, XML, HTML and .NET;
• Worked with an ERP and integrated environments;
• Bilingualism (English and French) or willingness to attend French language training will be required; knowledge of an Indigenous language or demonstrated fluency is a definite asset.

The official University hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, during, and including, the months from September to April, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m Monday through Friday during and including May to August., amounting to thirty-three and three-quarter (33.75) hours per week.

This means the Policy and Program on COVID-19 Vaccination are paused at this time; however, they are not canceled and could be reinstated at a future date if public health conditions warrant it, or through guidance from federal, provincial or local public health authorities. The evolution of the virus and the course of the disease activity are difficult to predict and it may be necessary to reinstate the Policy in full or in part, on short notice. When the Policy and Program on COVID-19 Vaccination are paused, persons entering Laurentian's campus will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination in order to attend campus.
