SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER & SECURITY ANALYST
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer & Security Analyst to join our IT team. This dual-role position is critical in ensuring the integrity, security and performance of our network infrastructure. The potential candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure network systems while proactively identifying and mitigating security threats.
This position is also responsible for Designing, deploying and managing enterprise-level LAN/WAN, VPN and wireless networks. Monitoring network performance and troubleshoot ideas to ensure optimal uptime and reliability. Implement network segmentation, redundancy and fall over strategies. Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balances. Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to support infrastructure scalability and automation.
Other tasks include but are not limited to: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts using SIEM tools. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures and best practices. Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements for this position:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity roles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN’s and network protocols.
- Proficiency with security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, Snort.
- Experience with Cloud Networking and Security
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, CEH or CompTIA Security+
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and SASE Frameworks
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of endpoint detection and response solutions
- Experience in incident response and digital forensics.
