About the role

Description of Business Environment:

Across Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) the 1LMX is the internal Corporate Transformation Project that will change the way Lockheed Martin is doing business. This includes system modernization, consolidation of Business Area processes & practices and cutting edge operations, Information Technology (IT) and engineering implementation.

The International IT Services (IITS) team within the 1LMX Program is responsible for ensuring international integration and representation across all areas of the program. Primarily focusing on Australia, Canada, Poland and the UK, the team is responsible for facilitating the capture and delivery of all non-US business and system requirements across all 1LMX product teams.

This position will primarily focus on supporting the Lockheed Martin Canada Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment and playing a key role in the 1LMX Corporate Transformation project delivery.

Specific Job Description:

This position reports to the IITS Americas Regional Operations Manager and liaises across similar positions within the International ERP Operations Teams and contributes to the overall success of Canada's ERP Technology environments and the 1LMX transition project. A key element of this role is closely partnering with Lockheed Martin enterprise teams, Canadian Business Area stakeholders and industry partners support, maintain and evolve the technical architecture for the Government of Canada (CANADA), ensuring compliant solutions are developed and meet business and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate is an experienced technical manager with broad knowledge of business applications and technical IT concepts, as well as a firm understanding of in-country systems landscape and data sovereignty requirements. The ideal candidate would have managed small to medium sized direct reporting and indirect reporting teams to accomplish a common mission.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) solutions, aligning with business requirements and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with business areas, IT teams, and external partners to define and refine project scope and deliverables
  • Provide leadership and guidance to both SAP technical and functional teams across the project lifecycle
  • Provide career guidance, coaching and mentoring for a team of direct reporting analysts
  • Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and innovations to integrate relevant solutions into the organization
  • Developing roadmaps, delivery planning, project plans and be able to present these to senior leaders
  • Develop integration plans for SAP and key non-SAP systems ensuring seamless functionality and data flow
  • Document all architectural designs and changes, maintaining compliance with both internal guidelines and external regulations
  • Recommend proposals to Steering Committee for changes or implementations to support effective cost savings across the landscape either technically or functionally.

What you bring to the role

  • Proven experience in SAP system architecture, with expertise in at least two of the following SAP modules: FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM or BASIS, ABAP, BW, PI, SLT, HANA Data Modelling. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with full lifecycle oversight and leadership for complex SAP system deployments
  • Experience overseeing SAP interfaces and interacting with peer IT engineers on design, performance, and operating considerations
  • Experience interfacing with business process engineers and translating business functional needs into IT solutions for consideration
  • Experience with change management procedures, segregation of duties design and implementation
  • Experience representing the organization as a prime technical contact on projects
  • Strong understanding of networking, Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, and Java as it pertains to supporting SAP
  • Highly skilled in SAP troubleshooting

  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of managing multiple simultaneous projects. Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Strong leadership experience leading diverse teams, managing through change, building high performing teams of direct reports
  • Experience building relationships across business stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, effective across all organizational levels
  • At least five years of experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNOW
  • Experience with SAP technologies like S4 HANA, Ariba and other cloud-based solutions
  • Relevant certifications in SAP modules or project management
  • Ability to successfully embrace and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviours.
