Function SummaryReporting to the Manager of Applications, the Programmer Analyst position in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is responsible for applications used at Bruyère Continuing Care, supporting users from diverse groups such as finance, material management, patient care, scheduling, human resources, admissions, pharmacy, and volunteering.The Programmer Analyst provides primary support on several key applications. Support activities include:
The Programmer Analyst works in conjunction with the network administrator to select and implement application servers, and to ensure that adequate disaster recovery procedures are in place. The Programmer Analyst also participates in the selection and implementation of new application software. They sit on committees and identifies system requirements and functional improvements through meetings and interviews. The Programmer Analyst participates in the review of potential applications and the final selection, and works closely with the vendor, network administrator and users throughout the implementation process.
