The Information Service Manager is located in Meaford at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Meaford Site Manager. Their primary focus is responsibility for the leadership of Information Services staff IAW CBO policies and the effective implementation and administration of the LFCA TC Meaford contract to achieve the required performance in all assigned areas. The primary areas of contractual responsibility are Liaison with TC Signals staff; IS network administration and maintenance; Maintenance, installations, moves and changes to computer systems, telephones, audio-visual systems; satellite TV systems, CCTV systems, and mobile devices under the direction of the Site Manager.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve required contract performance standards, other assigned objectives, and financial targets. Provide reports, as required. This may include performing hands-on technical work appropriate to qualifications and needs.
  • Effectively implement and maintain CBO Administrative, Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems.
  • Manage performance of all staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and CBO policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance and liaise with any required service subcontractors.
  • Liaise with CBO Site Management staff to develop plans and budgets, monitor performance and resolve problems.
  • Comply with applicable DND policies and directives. Liaise with DND technical authorities and attend DND conferences and working groups, as required.
  • Be responsive to the contract Project Authority (and designates), with responsibility and authority to represent CBO and communicate with client staff and the Contract Management Team, as determined by the Site Manager.
  • Promote positive relationships, close interdepartmental cooperation and communication with CBO and client staff. Attend required meetings and be proactive with prevention and resolution of problems.
  • Perform other assigned tasks, as required.
  • Support and participate in related CBO corporate initiatives, as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Personnel responsible for managing the information systems must have a minimum of 5 years experience as an Information System Manager.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Proficient knowledge and understanding of:

  • Contract management
  • Business operations processes
  • Organization and time management
  • The technical skills required to be at a suitable level to support and use the current suite of equipment, related test equipment or any new equipment/systems that may be installed/used at LFCA TC Meaford during the contract period
  • The operations, maintenance and repair for all Unclassified equipment/systems at LFCA TC Meaford
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (English)

Proficient user of:

  • MS Office (Office 365 suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Teams)
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Endpoint Configuration Manger
  • Operating Systems Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Server 2012-2019

*Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance*
