The Role:
The AMD Graphics Systems and Customer Engineering team needs a dynamic, energetic Program Manager to drive the overall Validation engineering organization on planning, scheduling, risks assessment, alignment on dependencies, and process improvements/enforcement. The GSCE team is a key element of AMD’s strategy to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. As a Validation Program Manager, you will be working closely with all Validation teams from pre-silicon to post-silicon until launch to help ensure our discrete GPU products are on time to market with quality. You will work across teams, blending your strategic and tactical experience to produce high-quality solutions, within time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive efficient Validation engineering planning, risk assessment, change management, alignment with other teams & execution through active leadership, clear communication, and effective organization skills
- Co-ordinate and track cross-team activities and schedules to ensure project requirements are met from product definition to production
- Manage budgets and assets of the Validation teams
- Provide frequent & concise updates to management teams on plans, status, and risk mitigation
- Enforcement of Validation processes and continuously strive for process improvement
- Identify commonalities among Validation teams and drive optimization
Skills and Experience
- Preferably 5+ years of Engineering and Technical Program Management experience
- Experience in SoC industry is preferred. Be able to follow up on high-level technical discussions and issues status
- Effective communication and strong teamworking skills are essential, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional and global teams
- Organization/Planning skills and relevant experience driving validation schedules and risk management
- Proactive and forward thinking to prevent problems
- Demonstrated experience driving change and working across functions and geographies to deliver a product
- Presentation Skills and relevant experience addressing Executive community as well as Business teams
Academic Credentials:
- Bachelors or Masters Degrees or equivalent
- Formal Project Management education, PMP designation is a plus
