Systems Analyst, Intermediate

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for technology and a knack for optimizing systems and processes? We are seeking a talented Systems Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in improving our organization's efficiency, productivity, and technology infrastructure. As a Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to analyze existing systems and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and design innovative solutions to enhance our operations. This includes the evaluation and integration of AI enabled features and advanced analytics capabilities into custom built applications.

Performance Expectations:

  1. System Analysis and Evaluation:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
    • Analyze existing systems, processes, and data flows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Evaluate potential technology solutions and recommend the best-fit options.
  2. AI Integration Assessment:
    • Identify opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) features into applications and systems to enhance automation, decision-making, and user experience.
    • Evaluate AI and ML technologies and their suitability for specific projects.
  3. User Persona and Behavior Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth user persona and behavior analysis to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of our end-users.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform system design and enhancement decisions.
  1. System Design and Development:
    • Design system specifications and develop detailed system requirements.
    • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure the successful implementation of new systems or enhancements.
    • Create system prototypes and mock-ups to communicate design concepts effectively.
  2. Data Management:
    • Understand data management best practices to ensure data accuracy and integrity within designed applications.
    • Design and develop data models and schemas to support reporting and analytics.
  3. Testing and Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute test plans to verify system functionality and ensure data accuracy.
    • Identify and resolve issues, bugs, and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  4. Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and workflows.
    • Provide user training and support documentation for new system implementations.
  5. Project Management:
    • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects related to system enhancements and implementations.
    • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful project completion.

Credentials:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma or in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Proficiency in system analysis, design, and development methodologies.
  • Experience with AI and ML concepts and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in user persona and behavior analysis techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of database management and data modeling.
  • Experience with project management and tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
