About the role

The successful candidate contributes to our key projects as a member of our Test and Trials (T&T) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows:

  • Support functional testing of combat system software (SW)
  • Support system integration testing leading to acceptance of combat system SW
  • Support regression testing of combat system SW
  • As part of an agile scrum team integrated with the SW engineering team, duties include:
  • Develop test plans and procedures to verify user stories and SW requirements in an Agile environment (Jira/Redmine)
  • Develop and execute tests using the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Automated Test Environment (Python/Linux)
  • Document results in the Agile project management system
  • Document, assess, and test deficiencies
  • Participate in Release and Sprint planning, as required
  • The team works a hybrid, flexible schedule, and some work may be conducted remotely. On-site attendance is required minimum 50% of the time and will increase over time as some test assets are not accessible remotely
  • Taskings will consist of both manual and automated testing. Automated testing follows standard software development methodologies and practices in a Linux development environment.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline and minimum 2-years’ experience
  • Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Must be able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • SW test experience
  • SW test automation / development experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Familiarity with BASH and Python
  • Familiarity with Subversion and/or Git
  • Familiarity with Java and C++ is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
