About Our Opportunity

As a Product Delivery Lead, your role will be pivotal within the Citizen and Business Services, Service Design and Delivery division, a crucial provider of support services to our partner departments and agencies across diverse business domains.

Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the delivery activities essential for the operation, maintenance, and support of products and services owned by our business partners and vendor supported.

This role requires you to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality results that meet partner expectations. You will be facilitating communication among operational teams, managing resources effectively, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining a focus on the successful achievement of objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Product Delivery Lead, you will:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the technical architecture of the product/service.

  • Work directly with the service owner, the vendor, and various technical teams to provide support by troubleshooting the product or service, implementing corrective action, and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Advocate for best practices in product/service development and support.

  • Communicate effectively and ensure adherence to departmental processes and procedures.

  • Lead the delivery of product/service upgrades and patch releases.

  • Lead the problem management process by collaborating with subject matter experts and technical teams.

  • Escalate technical issues to appropriate teams, navigate the organization, collaborate with other teams to find solutions to complex issues, and ensure successful resolution.

  • Maintain an up-to-date and detailed architecture diagram and operational support plan.

  • Identify potential risks to the product or services and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Lead Threat Risk Assessments, Vulnerabilities Assessments, and Penetration testing.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science plus a minimum of 5 years of experience, or graduation from a recognized Information Technology program, plus 5 years and 6 months of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

You should have demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • In-depth IT technical expertise and experience.

  • Extensive experience in system analysis and software development life cycle in an integrated complex environment.

  • Experience in IT service management, problem management and resolution, risk management, project management principles, and security assessments.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including business partner teams, operational teams, and external vendors.

  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with and communicate technical concepts to business partners, peers, and our leadership team with diverse technical backgrounds.

  • Experience with vendor management and out-sourced service providers.

  • Building empowered teams by motivating team members, effectively delegating tasks, and providing support.

  • Excellent facilitating skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and undertake high-level work under tight deadlines and exercise sound judgement under pressure.

Assets

  • Experience working in a public sector environment would be considered an asset.

  • Successful candidates must secure RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance as a condition of employment for this role. Additional security checks may also be required to ensure suitability and compliance.
