About Our Opportunity

As Manager, Digital Products, you'll join the Service Design and Delivery team to provide digital solutions built around the needs of users. Your primary focus will be modernization of the Land Registry, including the services and business processes that rely on it and the software systems that enable it. The Land Registry provides foundational information related to land ownership in Nova Scotia and is critical to the smooth functioning of the land market, a cornerstone of the Nova Scotia economy.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to modernization initiatives. You'll work with the team and subject matter experts to establish a product vision and provide direction to achieve that vision.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establish the product vision and provide strategic direction to achieve that vision.

  • Build relationships with partners to understand program goals, policies, and operational constraints so that you can develop products that are valuable, usable, and feasible.

  • Plan and manage the product roadmap for modernization initiatives.

  • Participate in human-centered design activities to understand the needs of internal and external users.

  • Leading a team to deliver products and continuously improvement them.

  • Keep people informed and engaged by working in the open and communicating effectively.

  • Set measurable goals and report against them to demonstrate progress and achievements.

  • Ensure the service is designed with accessibility from the start.

  • Be responsible for the quality of your products.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You must have a relevant degree and at least six (6) years relevant experience.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams.

  • Experience with the software development lifecycle and the delivery of digital products and services.

  • Proficiency in agile product management techniques, such as writing user stories, defining minimal viable products, and backlog refinement.

  • Experience gathering qualitative and quantitative insights to identify how user needs can be met by product and service improvements.

  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills to own and manage the product roadmap and backlog.

  • Ability to set, monitor, and report on measurable product performance targets.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to handle complex stakeholder relationships and work with partners to deliver products through the service design and delivery process.

Valued Assets

  • Experience in land, real estate, or legal-related product delivery.

  • Understand a variety of disciplines involved in digital delivery, including user research, service design, usability, and accessibility.
