Job Overview

Working under moderate supervision, we are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer with expertise in PeopleSoft ERP (General ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management and Project Costs) modules and contributes to Wawanesa success by designing, developing, implementing, and maintenance of the above stated modules within the PeopleSoft application suite. Your primary responsibilities will include customizing and configuring the module to meet the organization's specific needs, ensuring data accuracy, and providing support to end-users.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customize and configure the PeopleSoft Financial modules to align with the organization's business processes and requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement new features and enhancements within the module.
  • Collaborate with other development teams to integrate the PeopleSoft Financial module with other PeopleSoft modules and third-party systems.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, and deliver training as needed.
  • Maintain the operation of business systems and applications.
  • Participate in planning activities.
  • Estimate and track progress of assigned work.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of module customizations, configurations, and development activities.
  • Follow established practices, processes, and guidelines.
  • Stay up to date with PeopleSoft (PUM) updates and new releases and assist in upgrading the Financial modules accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the module.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure successful module implementation and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Post-secondary degree or diploma in software development or equivalent experience.
  • Two years practical experience as a PeopleSoft Developer with PeopleSoft 9.2, preferably with a focus on the financial modules such as General ledger, Accounts Payables, Asset Management and Project Cost.
  • Proficiency in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, and related PeopleSoft development tools.
  • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and data models.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface.
  • Knowledge of integration techniques, including web services and APIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize and identify issues and take proper action to resolve them.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with style fitting for the audience and message.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment by making quality contributions and supporting fellow team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage a fluctuating workload, with various situations and changing priorities.
  • Possesses a willingness to learn while keeping abreast of developments in field and have the ability to apply learning to new situations.
  • Experience using software development tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Source Code Management and TeamCity is considered an asset.
  • Certifications in relevant technology is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Insurance industry is considered an asset.
