The Opportunity


Introhive is looking for a full-time Scrum Master / Project Manager to help our team coordinate the growth of our portfolio of products and services. The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of the agile methodology and experience leading projects to successful completion. The successful candidate will work out of our Fredericton or Saint John office, but if you're located elsewhere in the Maritimes and are interested in working remotely, let's chat.

Responsibilities

  • Guides and coaches their Scrum Teams on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Ensures that Scrum theory, best practices, and guidelines are well understood by the team.
  • Gets their teams to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, developing cross-functional skill sets, acquiring domain knowledge and communication.
  • Works closely with product owners, technical leads, and scrum masters across teams to coordinate and track activity, understand team dependencies, and ensure alignment.
  • Resolves team impediments internally and externally of your team by helping to identify them early and working with relevant stakeholders who will be able to remove impediments.
  • Working with other Scrum Masters and Project Managers to increase the advancement and improvement of the application of Agile practices and Scrum in the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Creates and maintains project documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project and ensures documentation is standardized across projects.
  • Ensures all stakeholders are updated with relevant details relating to their projects on a regular cadence.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree/Community College diploma in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong leadership fundamentals
  • A positive, collaborative and friendly attitude
  • A knack for continually improving processes and practices
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record in an Agile environment, ideally in software development
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

Highly Desired:

  • Certified Scrum Master, PMP Certification
  • SAFe framework knowledge or experience is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Jira and Confluence
