Join us as a Rigging Pipeline Supervisor, where you'll work closely with our Studio CG Supervisor, Asset Pipeline Supervisor, Rigging Pipeline TD, and CG Supervisors to refine our Maya-based rigging systems. You'll be instrumental in training the rigging team on ExoTools, maintaining quality, and developing tools to improve character animation. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success and innovation of our animation projects.


In this role you will:


  • Guide the team in mastering ExoTools, providing mentorship and technical support.
  • Keep rigging tools documentation, including ExoTools, clear and up-to-date.
  • Enhance the rigging pipeline for improved efficiency, functionality, and speed, with a focus on collaboration across relevant departments with thorough testing.
  • Interpret and implement feedback from supervisors, ensuring high-quality standards are met promptly.
  • Possess top-tier skills in articulation and deformation.
  • Address and solve rigging or deformation issues, aligning with creative goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend external plugins/scripts beneficial to our projects.


Need to have:


  • Required production knowledge of Exotools.
  • Proficient in geometry creation, weighting, and skeleton rigging.
  • Must have production knowledge of Maya, including its Python API and scripting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UNIX/Linux, procedural, and object-oriented programming languages.
  • Skilled in creating Python scripts for task automation.

  • Maya


Nice to have:


  • A degree and/or diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Advanced degree in Computing Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines is an asset.
  • 8-10 years of experience working in a professional environment within their discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Blender and Unreal is a plus.
