As an Associate UI/UX Designer, you’ll bring a keen sense of user-centered design, an eye for detail and a love of mobile games. Working on our Live Ops teams, you’ll help to build new features and ensure consistency and quality of the player experience across multiple games. You’ll be a champion of empathy and understanding the needs of our diverse player base.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create icons, panels, buttons and other UI assets for implementation

  • Export UI assets and work alongside Engineering to implement UI prefabs in Unity

  • Assist UI/UX team and Game Design in the design and documentation of new features

  • Manage and maintain UI asset files and pipeline

  • Quickly iterate, discover issues and provide solutions based on feedback

  • Design, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups, consistent with game style guides and established UX

  • Work with different game teams to ensure clear and consistent UX across new features and Live Events

  • Play our games to identify UX improvements and opportunities

  • Learn about idle games and our players, designing for their needs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 1 - 2 years professional experience working in UI, UX or similar role

  • UX, Communication Design, Games education background, or similar

  • Experience with Unity engine and UI implementation tools

  • Understanding of UI/UX best practices & ‘User Centered’ design

  • Strong visual design sense, ability to create polished UI assets that are consistent with art style guide using vector graphics

  • Strong knowledge of UI/ UX design and vector art creation tools - Adobe XD (or Figma or similar), Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate

  • Strong communication skills - Ability to clearly communicate UI/UX needs and solutions, articulate issues when they arise

  • Exceptional problem solving skills - Displays curiosity and drive, thinks ‘User First’

  • Plays mobile games - Understands ‘Free to Play’ games and business model (Bonus if you are an idle game super-fan!).

  • Portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX work on other games or similar projects. Showcases design sense, technical skill and reasonings.

Compensation Range: $60K-$80K CAD per annum. Salary is determined by experience, skills, and capabilities.
