What you’ll do

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - DevOps

Location: Vancouver, BC

Expected Start Date: May 2024

Contract Duration: 8 months

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

The role is within our DevOps Team, with a focus Vulnerability Management. You will play a key role in streamlining the Vulnerability Management capabilities. You will play a key role in operational reporting & metrics capability, ultimately ensuring our Business Units can adequately be measured towards compliance to the standard set for Enterprise Vulnerability Management. You will work very close with both our DevOPs professionals and our Attack Surface Reduction Team which combine to form the company’s EVM capability.

Specific role tasks would include supporting the following initiatives:

  • Data analysis and internal communication for vulnerability scan scoping
  • New tooling investigations
  • Scripting and tool administration
  • KANBAN scrum master training and role execution

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Work towards a University Degree in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Disciplines
  • Superior Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and tools to include scanning, patching, hardening, configuration, and risk management
  • Python Scripting skills
  • Familiarity with IPv4 and subnetting
  • Proficiency with Vulnerability Management Tools (e.g. Tenable.io/Nessus, Qualys, Nexpose) desirable
  • Familiarity with JIRA desirable
  • A professional IT Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP) is preferred

Soft skills:

  • Multi-tasking and extreme efficiency in time management and prioritization
  • The ability to communicate and articulate in a clear and understandable fashion is an advantage
  • Being able to navigate conflict and perform in dynamic situations is a plus
  • Having the flexibility to work outside of typical office hours is a strong advantage within a global organization
  • Ability to work efficiently from home office and SAP office

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 24-40 CAD.
