Contract Term: Initially 6 months with option for extension to 2 years

Eligibility: Candidates must have experience working and managing outdoor education programs in North America

JUMP! is seeking a visionary Program Director to lead our transformative summer programs deep in the heart of the British Columbia backcountry. Imagine yourself leading a passionate team, guiding Canadian youth on unforgettable outdoor adventures. Picture the excitement of the high ropes courses, the peace of evening under a star-filled sky, and the fulfillment of building relationships and connections across diverse communities. As the Program Director, you'll be the architect of these experiences, ensuring every JUMP! participant unlocks their potential and discovers the transformative power of nature.


As a key member of our team, you will spearhead Partnership Support & Partnership Strategy in Canada, manage partnership budgets and approvals, and provide oversight of the program management process. Your visionary leadership will contribute to the growth and success of our summer programs, ensuring they align seamlessly with our organizational goals. This individual will provide oversight and direction to the operations, finances, staffing and programming to the summer camp in 100 Mile House, British Columbia.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability)

  • Provide visionary leadership to the Summer Programs team, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  • Oversee the management and accountability structures within the team, fostering a culture of transparency, responsibility, and continuous improvement.


Partnership Support & Partnership Strategy Canada

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships for the Summer Programs, particularly focusing on partnerships in Canada.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy to enhance the impact and reach of JUMP! Foundation's Summer Programs.


Partnership Budget and Approvals:

  • Take ownership of the budgetary aspects related to Summer Program partnerships, ensuring alignment with financial goals and organizational priorities.
  • Lead the approvals process for partnerships, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.


Oversight of Program Management Process:

  • Provide strategic oversight of the end-to-end program management process for Summer Programs, ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize program delivery and participant experience.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Proficiency in outdoor and adventure programming
  • Extensive experience in program design and logistics, ideally within experiential education settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in program logistics, design, and curriculum development.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, budget management, and operational oversight.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively and manage operations across diverse regions.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in remote wilderness environments
  • Previous experience working with First Nation / Aboriginal Communities

Salary Range: 4,000 - 6,000 CAD per month.
