Manager, Web Communications & Engagement - E02142 | Salary Range: 9
We are working to create a digital experience that is accessible, culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming for everyone seeking the specialized health care services of the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a manager on the Communications & Engagement team, you’ll oversee our ecosystem of websites, in partnership with technical teams, and support the renewal of our websites in a new cloud-based Drupal environment. You’ll also oversee our intranet, which is the hub for more than 26,000 employees across the province. This is an exciting time to lead and grow a team of web content strategists, and make a difference in the lives of patients, clients, families, employees, health professionals and health-sector partners across British Columbia.
Using an inclusive and anti-racist lens, the successful candidate will be a courageous leader and a role model for compassionate and culturally safe communication, collaboration and teamwork, and thoughtful engagement across different areas of the communications team and the broader organization. You are a supportive team player who views your role as helping and enabling your colleagues’ success, as much as securing support for your own.
This is a role for a proven self-starter who has strong attention to detail, takes initiative to creatively identify and execute on opportunities, and possesses true savviness in knowing how to prioritize competing interests. We guarantee it will be a fulfilling role where you’ll never be bored!

Reconciliation is an ongoing process and a shared responsibility for all of us. The BC Governments’ unanimous passage of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act was a significant step forward in this journey—one that all health authorities are expected to support as we work in cooperation with Indigenous Peoples to establish a clear and sustainable path to lasting reconciliation. True reconciliation will take time and ongoing commitment to work with Indigenous Peoples as they move toward self-determination. Guiding these efforts Crown agencies must remain focused on creating opportunities that implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Mandate.
