Director, Core Infrastructure, QuadReal

The Director of Core Infrastructure is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including network, servers, storage, cloud, and security systems. This role requires a technical leader who can manage teams in a complex technology environment through effective communication, and strong collaboration with business and IT leadership team.

The Director of IT Infrastructure ensures that the IT infrastructure supports the business objectives and meets the performance, availability, scalability, and security standards.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $140,000-180,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.

Responsibilities

As the leader of the Core Infrastructure team, the Director will work with internal and external resources, and with business partners to fulfill these responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy and roadmap, aligning with the business goals and IT vision.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure budget, resources, vendors, and contracts.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT infrastructure engineers and administrators.
  • Establish and enforce IT infrastructure policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the IT infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Plan and coordinate the IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions for the IT infrastructure improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with the IT infrastructure standards, regulations, and audits.
  • Provide IT infrastructure support and troubleshooting for the end users and stakeholders.
  • Foster and maintain a culture of collaboration and service excellence.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, Core Infrastructure, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Infrastructure, including leadership roles in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Proven expertise in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and administration, including network, servers, storage, cloud, and security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure best practices, standards, and frameworks, such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO, NIST, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, such as Azure, Office 365, Teams, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS technologies, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and techniques, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, authentication, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of IT cost management and optimization solutions
  • Familiarity with real estate industry-specific challenges and solutions is a plus.
