BUSINESS SYSTEMS DEVELOPER

We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining data capture, processing, and visualization solutions to drive informed business decisions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand requirements, design effective data models, and deliver impactful insights through intuitive dashboards, applications, and reports. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform programming would be highly valued. We welcome candidates who possess strong data analytics and visualization skills and are eager to learn and leverage Power Platform to enhance our business intelligence capabilities and improve workflows company-wide.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Design, develop, implement solutions to meet business requirements, including data modeling, dashboard creation, and report generation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and actionable insights, providing recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
• Conduct user training and provide ongoing support to ensure effective utilization of business tools across the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, and best practices, incorporating new techniques to enhance data visualization capabilities.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of data visualization tools, contributing to the development of the organization's strategy and roadmap.
• Implementing SharePoint solutions in Office365 and Power Platform.
• Creating clear, concise, and thorough documentation of solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Related post-secondary education (diploma/degree) i.e. Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems.
• Proven experience in developing Power Platform solutions, including data modeling, and report/dashboard design or transferable experience and skills with other similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL queries, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in data visualization principles and best practices, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively through compelling visualizations.
• Experience working with large datasets and implementing performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certified are a plus.
• Industrial construction industry exposure is considered an asset
• Must possess excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
