As the Systems Administrator (Salesforce), you will play a key role in ensuring the applications are maintained and configured for optimal efficiency, performance and value creation to AFSC Clients. While maintaining a security mindset ensuring that our applications are configured to meet all AFSC regulatory, corporate and governing standards. The Systems Administrator is a critical role in ensuring that AFSC core applications not only meet the needs of today, but are aligned and maintained for the future.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Work with Business Analysts and Business groups and stakeholders to align product vision, requirements, etc. with solution
  • Help manage and administer the backlog and prioritization of work based on solution / technical dependencies and design
  • Work with the BA / Product Owner to lead the definition, coordination and management of the development team to executing on the corporate goals
  • Utilize Agile practices (Scrum) for backlog creation, prioritization and planning and execution activities
  • Identifying opportunities and enhancements that maximize the value of the platform, process efficiencies and overall return on investment
  • Configure and administer the Salesforce platform
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks.
  • Create and maintain business processes using core components and add-on components, with a focus on configuration rather than customization
  • Manage the maintenance of the SaaS platform, and associated system(s) to ensure data quality and security standards
  • Maintain database for integrity and accuracy including cleansing and duplicate record management
  • Evaluate new releases of SaaS Application and associated systems to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users
  • Oversee all technical aspects of SaaS Application including data migrations, data quality, systems integrity, third-party applications, and associated systems
  • Plan ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases and long term projects
  • Securing the system to ensure users only see the information that is appropriate to them
  • Implement enhanced functionality as new needs and use cases arise
  • Develop and test new functionality and customization or enhancements
  • Definition and design of process improvement and efficiency capabilities within the SaaS Application and associated systems.
  • Configuring the system to fit your organization's processes
  • Troubleshoot complex issues within the managed product set as well as integrated products
  • Act as Tier 2 / 3 support when required to mitigate complex operational issues or outages
  • Work with the Learning team to develop training materials and provide training and support to SaaS Application and associated systems to end users
  • Train new users and grow the SaaS Application skill set across the organization
  • Light weight scripting and writing of high level code to enhance or support core functionality of the SaaS Application and associated systems
  • Manage less complex SaaS Application integrations - those not handled by a Full Stack Developer or Consultant/Partner
  • Adhere to the development and management principles, standards and practices of the application lifecycle
  • Participate in planning initiatives related to defining and improving the SaaS Application services including associated systems

  • Ability to perform, mentor and coach agile planning (Scrum)
  • Effective project delivery / management skill sets and experience

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Working knowledge with release management utilizing Continuous Integration and Deployment methodologies and toolsets an asset (Azure DevOps, Git, AutoRabbit, Etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing agile methodologies and toolsets an asset (Scrum, Azure DevOps, Etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Technology.
  • Proven experience in an application system administrator role, specifically Salesforce
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Salesforce. Salesforce certification is considered an asset

For those not meeting the minimum education, additional related work experience will be deemed equivalent. Pro-active in continued professional and personal skill development is an ongoing expectation.
