Oilers Entertainment Group is looking for a passionate and driven Graphic Designer to take charge of creative design solutions that work in collaboration with the larger marketing team. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops leading edge creative executions, including but not limited to the Oilers franchise, OEG, Rogers Place and Ice District marketing
  • Is a key contributor on early ideation and end output of major, multi-channel campaigns
  • Able to deliver directly against a brief
  • Creates concepts from rough idea to comprehensive renderings and final presentation
  • Liaises with cross functional team members in developing creative concepts, particularly at inception
  • Gains a thorough understanding of the brand(s), supported by the project and creative briefs
  • Provides rationale and support for creative direction and executions
  • Delivers strong design executions across several mediums such as digital media, game presentation, print advertising, publication, signage, packaging, etc.
  • Ensures brand integrity through the overseeing of diligent use, direction and application of Brand guidelines
  • Adheres to the time and scheduling parameters assigned for each project
  • Brainstorms and partners in the creative development for larger campaigns
  • Synergizes and generates ideas over and above the marketing brief mandatories with the aim to elevate campaign relevance
  • Coordinates with both Director, Creative and Lead Design, Creative to ensure a balanced approach to project assignment and maximization of resources
  • Shares best practices and project examples with Creative Team
  • Coaches with respect to brand guidelines and integrity standards
  • Provides an enterprise view and assessment of creative output across the organization
  • Keeps abreast of marketplace and competitive executions to serve as reference and/or direction
  • Collaborates with Director, Creative in scheduling, resource management, and macro-level process and workflow improvement
  • Introduces new approaches and mediums to the broader organization
  • Participates in the sharing of best practices across departments

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of experience with graphic design in a professional work environment; experience in sports and entertainment is a plus
  • Post secondary education in design or related major
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to work beyond normal business hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends and select holidays is required
