Position Title: Supervisor, Master Data Management (12-Month Term)

Team and Location: Finance Master Data Management – Calgary, AB

Salary: $84,000/year

Position Summary:

Leads the team responsible for the process design of master data creation, deletion and update as well as the execution of said process. They are also responsible for execution and audit of appropriate data governance policies. Leader is responsible for Canada MDM as well as for SOL when SAP goes live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops & mentors team via meetings, career development planning, team-building events, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Assigns roles and responsibilities within team and manages the queue of MDM requests.
  • Process evaluation & redesign. Continuous improvement of all processes is critical. Leverages existing and new technology (ie ServiceNow or RPA) to improve the speed and accuracy of processes.
  • Trains new team members.
  • Integration of new tasks transitioned from other areas. The team has and continues to grow significantly. Must evaluate all new tasks, improve/develop documentation, look for process improvements, train team members and develop fail-safes and back-ups to ensure the process runs smoothly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, statistics, finance, or equivalent discipline is an asset.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a strong customer service focused environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work experience in a master data management environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of leading teams with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of data management and data governance principles.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word).
