As part of the ATCO Real Estate and Facility Solutions team (REFS), the Facilities Solutions Advisor will report to the Project Manager, Facility Solutions, with responsibility for supporting Capital Project execution and day to day facility operational requirements for ATCO's Calgary head office locations. Accountabilities include accounts payable management related to O&M & Capital; support the Facility project management team including planning and execution of construction and space-related changes within our Head office locations. The Facilities Advisor works collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the highest level of service is provided. This role is based in Calgary with limited travel required. It is expected that limited after-hours work will be required depending on project and service requirements. Duties and locations will modify over time but remain Calgary based.

What Else You Get To Do:

  • Represent the company's interest in all Facilities property and project matters.
  • Support Capital Project execution and reporting.
  • Assist the project manager in the development of project management documentation such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to determine needs and requirements for services.
  • Provide supervision to 3rd party contractors (construction/consultants/engineering etc.)
  • Maintain and ensure internal project controls, quality assurance and controls, schedule stakeholder meetings, document and generate project reporting.
  • Monitors daily project progress with associated reporting.
  • Develop and maintain effective relations with Property owners, property managers and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relations with business units.
  • Support for the Executive floor to ensure operations of the floor are seamless.
  • Onsite contact for Property Manager, contractors and visitors related to Facilities.
  • Manage daily requests from clients, for tenant issues/concerns including beverage and kitchen services including base building repair and maintenance.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage all moves, changes, and relocations (within and between properties).
  • Manage multiple and identify multiple priorities and pivot to the most critical requirement.
  • Maintain ticketing queue of client generated service requests including triage, assignment, follow-up, and execution.
  • Support space planning and furniture layout projects including reconfiguration and furniture inventory management.
  • Work with other departments to ensure they understand the current lease-related policies, procedures and guidelines that impact on our tenancy and ensure that the Company is in full compliance with the terms of the internal lease(s).

Who You Are:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience responsible for multiple larger facilities (over 3000 square feet).
  • High School Diploma is required and post-secondary diploma or certificate in Business or Construction Management preferred
  • Project Management certification, Space Planning or Design experience is an asset.
  • Thorough understanding of the application of PMI methodology, standard contracts and purchasing policies is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Power BI and CAD or comparable design software is an asset.
