About

Spin Hobby is a hobby shop in Western Canada for anime figures, collectibles and pre-orders, built and run like a software company. Most hobby retail runs on spreadsheets and manual listings. We engineer the parts that cost collectors time and trust, and we build them in-house. WHAT WE BUILD A custom storefront designed around collectors: clear condition notes, accurate stock and a pre-order flow that tells you where your item is, from reservation to delivery. Real-time inventory systems that keep what is on the shelf and what is on the site in agreement across every sales channel, so an item you can buy is an item we have. Pre-order tracking with status and shipment visibility, so you are never guessing. An automated product-photography pipeline, currently in development: phone photos in, clean, consistent, honest listing photos out. It runs on our own hardware, keeps every detail of the real product, and removes the clutter that gets in the way of seeing it. HOW WE WORK We treat retail as a systems problem: measure it, automate the repetitive parts, and keep a person on everything that needs judgment. Listings have to be accurate. Photos must show the real item and its real condition. Data should be correct before it is pretty. WHO IT IS FOR Collectors who want accurate listings and dependable pre-orders, and fellow shop owners and builders who are curious how a small retailer can use software to compete with much bigger ones. FOLLOW ALONG We share what we learn as we build: inventory design, photography workflows, and the practical engineering behind a small shop.
