Role Overview The TD Insurance Digital Platform is seeking a Software Engineer for the MyInsurance development team. The role contributes to comprehensive end-to-end solutions and supports delivery through technical implementation of large, complex projects. Pay Details The stated pay range is $81,600–$115,200 CAD. Actual base pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, location, and organizational needs. Customer Accountabilities Analyze business requirements and conduct system research to identify solution components and resolve problems. Develop applications and perform unit and component testing aligned with business needs and technology standards. Contribute to project plans, estimates, timelines, and status updates. Support enhancements and break-fix implementations and collaborate on application configuration and performance. Technology and Delivery Accountabilities Maintain quality code, participate in peer reviews, and follow secure coding practices. Complete unit and integration testing and support testing cycles and production deployments. Administer applications and environments, including monitoring, configuration, backup, authentication, and tuning. Provide technical expertise during incident management, outage analysis, impact assessment, and resolution. Experience and Education Undergraduate degree or technical certificate. 5–7 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently as a senior or lead developer and coach team members. Experience acting as a subject matter expert and consultant for partner teams. Technical Competencies Java and Spring Boot web application development. Angular, Node.js, Tomcat, or JBoss experience. REST, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAXB2, JAX-RS, and Web API development. Agile delivery, continuous integration and delivery, Git, Bitbucket, and relational databases. Azure or AWS and vendor product integration experience are assets.
