The Senior Director, Data Technology will lead the transformation of a legacy data technology organization into a modern, cloud-native platform that powers products, analytics, and AI-driven insights. This senior leader will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define technology strategy, build a high-performing organization, and unlock greater business value from data.
The Role: This leader will execute the technology strategy for a unified data platform, modernizing legacy technologies into an AWS cloud-native ecosystem. The role bridges Technology, Product, and the business to create trusted data, reusable intelligence, and scalable capabilities that power products, analytics, and AI. Success requires a builder mindset, strong organizational leadership, and the ability to drive change across teams while fostering a collaborative One-platform culture.

Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with enterprise teams, as well as CARFAX product and technology leaders to align data strategies with broader product and business priorities. Execute a unified data platform strategy within CARFAX businesses aligned to long-term business objectives. Lead the migration from legacy on-premises technologies to AWS cloud-native services. Modernize downstream data platforms, business rules, and interpretation capabilities. Expand AI and advanced analytics to generate new data insights and reusable intelligence. Improve data quality, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Build engineering leadership capability, succession depth, and a high-performing organization. Lead organizational change while fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture across teams and regions.
Qualifications
12+ years leading data engineering, software engineering, or data technology organizations. Proven success leading enterprise data platforms and cloud transformation initiatives. Deep AWS and modern data platform expertise. Experience partnering with Product and executive stakeholders. Track record of building engineering leaders and leading organizational change. Strong understanding of AI, advanced analytics, and large-scale data ecosystems.
