YOUR ROLE We are seeking a Fall 2026 intern for the role of Data Engineer Intern at our partner organization, a leading Canadian-based financial services firm, with additional operations in Europe and the United States. This Canadian-based financial services company offers a broad portfolio of financial and benefit plan solutions for individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. This role focuses on advancing data ingestion automation, AI-enabled knowledge tools, and Microsoft Copilot capabilities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of GRC processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

GRC Data Ingestion & Automation Implement automated data ingestion into the GRC platform by cleansing, validating, and transforming inputs from external templates to ensure data quality and governance standards. Develop a scalable, future-ready framework for Euphrates 2 with standardized templates and automated mapping to seamlessly migrate data into MSI upload formats. Smart FAQ Develop and implement an AI-enabled Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) capability that leverages training SharePoint resources to intelligently search, retrieve, and deliver the most relevant and accurate responses to user inquiries. Customer Success Service quality Enhance customer success service quality by implementing automated ticket logging, improved issue tracking, and streamlined resolution workflows while monitoring key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Advancing MS Co-Pilot Reporting capabilities This is an opportunity to contribute to the build of co-pilot agents and related tools to elevate our ability to ingest volumes of risk and compliance data to produce meaningful insights for quarterly reporting. This will include developing robust re-usable prompts to align with established corporate reporting. This may include quarterly reporting on status of risk assessments, issues, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a graduate-level student from the following universities: University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, York University or Western University. Pursuing a Master's degree or a higher degree. Strong technical skills in data analytics, data engineering, and automation. Experience with SQL, Python, and Power BI for data processing, analysis, and visualization. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, and AI-enabled knowledge management tools is considered an asset. Understanding of data ingestion, transformation pipelines, and data quality validation principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work with structured and unstructured data. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems, workflows, and reporting practices is considered an asset.
