About the role
Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented IT Support & Systems Administrator to support a growing organization of approximately 200+ employees operating across five provinces in Canada. This role will be responsible for maintaining daily technology operations, supporting end users, managing cybersecurity practices, and helping scale IT systems as the organization grows. This role will require the incumbent to be on site 5 days a week.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with excellent communication, customer service, and business acumen. This position will support a workforce across multiple locations and departments while ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations.
Key Responsibilities End User Support Provide day-to-day technical support to employees across multiple provinces and office locations Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, VPN, printer, email, mobile device, and connectivity issues Support onboarding and offboarding processes including account setup, permissions, equipment deployment, and recovery Deliver remote support for out of province employees Maintain strong customer service standards and timely resolution of support requests Systems & Infrastructure Administration Implement and maintain: Microsoft 365 environment (including Teams and SharePoint) VPN and remote access Systems Assist IT Manager with vendor management, IT budgeting, asset lifecycle planning, and software licensing audits. Cybersecurity & Compliance Support company cybersecurity initiatives and best practices Implement and maintain: Multi-factor authentication (MFA) Endpoint protection Access controls and password policies Device security and encryption Assist with cybersecurity awareness training for staff Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents Ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection standards IT Operations & Documentation Develop and maintain IT documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles Track and manage IT tickets, projects, and recurring issues Assist in developing scalable IT processes and standards across the organization Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning Recommend technology improvements and cost-effective solutions
Qualifications Education & Experience Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 2+ years of progressive IT support and systems administration experience Experience supporting multi-site or distributed organizations preferred Experience administering Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Enterprise environments. Experience with Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Microsoft 365 Admin Center Exchange Online Microsoft Teams SharePoint Online Entra ID (Azure AD) Microsoft Intune Microsoft Defender Understanding of: DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC Identity and access management Endpoint security Cloud-based collaboration tools Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration. Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection best practices. Experience with any of the following is considered an asset: Watchguard Fireboxes/VPN VMware/ Virtualization Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (nice to have) CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+

Working Conditions Full-time position May require occasional after-hours or maintenance. Regular office environment, 5 days a week on site to manage physical inventory, shipping/ receiving of assets, and local network infrastructure
