Within that environment, the Full Stack Developer is a senior individual contributor on a matrix platform team responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting front-end and back-end platform services used by ministries across government. Role Responsibilities The Platforms branch is looking for two (2) Identity and Access Analysts. Reporting to the Manager, Product Operations, the Identity and Access Analyst provides operational and technical support to program and delivery teams onboarding to the Government of Alberta’s enterprise identity and access management (IAM) platform. The role helps teams understand onboarding requirements, prepare integration inputs, and move through onboarding activities in a secure, consistent, and efficient way.   The responsibilities of this role include:

Provide onboarding guidance to program and technical teams, including IAM architecture expectations, security requirements, data standards, and integration dependencies. Support end-to-end onboarding readiness by guiding teams through required inputs, timelines, and handoffs, ensuring alignment with enterprise IAM requirements. Review onboarding and supporting documentation for completeness, quality, and alignment; identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risks that may impact implementation. Support identity risk assessment activities by facilitating completion of required inputs, validating submissions, and escalating complex or high-risk issues to appropriate partners. Coordinate with program areas, delivery teams, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and identity assurance partners to enable effective issue resolution and smooth onboarding progression. Translate complex IAM requirements into clear, practical guidance for business teams, supporting planning, issue tracking, and implementation readiness. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, enhancing templates and guidance materials, and leveraging approved AI and automation tools to improve efficiency (with appropriate review and oversight).

  To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

Ability to review documentation for completeness, quality, and readiness for further review. Ability to translate technical requirements into practical guidance for non-technical audiences. Ability to recognize when issues require escalation to Cybersecurity, Privacy, or other specialized partners.

A university degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Commerce), supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible, related experience. Knowledge of IAM concepts, onboarding practices, and enterprise integration requirements. Working knowledge of standards or frameworks such as NIST 800-63 and the Pan-Canadian Trust Framework. Experience with enterprise IAM platforms such as ForgeRock, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Ping Identity, or similar tools. A cover letter clearly demonstrating relevant skills and competencies tailored to this position.

  Equivalencies:

A related master’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; or A related two-year diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience; or A related one-year certificate and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.

  Assets:

Experience supporting IAM onboarding, implementation, integration, or operational delivery. Understanding of responsible AI use in a government context, including human accountability, privacy, security, and protection of sensitive information.
