About The Role

The Time System Assistant will manage timekeeping through Synerion Access, our Synerion Share Point Site and Outlook Mailbox. This will include creating basic support cases, review interfaces end execute basic test scripts during database upgrades. 

This is a new position with the company and would be an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate in the fields of Information Systems, Business Technology or Computer Science.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Time System assistance and support: 

  • Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls to ensure data security and comply with company policies. 

  • Monitor Synerion Interfaces performance, analyze logs and identify potential issues to prevent downtime 

  • Participate in Synerion upgrades and hot fixes 

  • Create and monitor support cases within Synerion help desk, keep case tracker up to date, including creating new jobs in the time system on daily basis, and reach out for more complex set ups. 

  • End User and Payroll support: 

  • Prepare basic training documentation for end users for Time system.

  • Develop “How Do I” documents and/or videos for end users. 

  • Respond to technical issues, support end users with all Time system access related challenges, collaborate with payroll team and end users to resolve and investigate basic system issues. 

  • Assist Payroll Team with Historical Corrections data entry if needed. 

  • Act as backup for payroll during peak periods, employee absences or staffing emergencies. 

  • Administration and Documentation

    • Upload Agency employee data to Time & Attendance, review timecard data entry if needed 
    • Ensure that all documentation related to access set up and organizational map set up is up to date 
    • Manage Time System SharePoint site with new and updated forms and videos.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Post Secondary Diploma in Computer Science or a related field required.
  • Some relative experience required; 
  • Team-player with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities; 
  • Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential; 
  • General Computer Skills (e.g. MS Office),
