About the role
Intelligent Automation Developer (Intermediate) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite per Week) Duration: Contract through December 2027
We are seeking an innovative and hands-on Intelligent Automation Developer to join a team focused on building the next generation of AI-powered automation solutions. This role goes beyond traditional RPA and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, UiPath, and Power Platform to deliver intelligent, enterprise-scale automation solutions. The successful candidate will help design and develop AI-enabled workflows, autonomous and human-in-the-loop agents, and intelligent automation solutions that improve business processes, increase efficiency, and support better decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify and assess automation opportunities. Gather and document business, operational, and technical requirements through workshops and stakeholder sessions. Design and develop intelligent automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, UiPath, and Power Platform. Build AI agents, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop automation processes. Integrate automation and AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and cloud services. Modernize existing automation solutions by incorporating AI and agentic capabilities. Develop testing strategies and perform solution validation, including AI response verification and workflow testing. Create technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices. Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of automation solutions.
Required Qualifications Hands-on experience building AI-enabled automation solutions in an enterprise environment. Experience developing AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or similar platforms. Strong experience with Intelligent Automation and UiPath development. Experience designing and implementing Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows. Experience building agentic workflows, task-execution agents, or autonomous agents. Strong understanding of AI integration patterns, prompt engineering, and AI service consumption. Experience gathering requirements and collaborating directly with business stakeholders. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications UiPath Advanced Developer or Solution Architect certification. Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility and declarative agents. Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, auditability, and monitoring practices. Experience with multi-agent architectures and enterprise AI implementations. Microsoft AI, Azure AI, Copilot Studio, or related certifications.
