Cloud Reliability & Infrastructure Lead Calgary, Alberta

We're hiring a Cloud Reliability & Infrastructure Lead to own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind a rapidly growing technology platform. This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced infrastructure professional who thrives in complex cloud environments, enjoys solving reliability challenges, and wants to shape the future of platform operations.

You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced engineering team where you'll take ownership of multi-cloud infrastructure, drive reliability initiatives, mentor engineers, and help build the operational foundations required to support continued growth.

What You'll Do Own and manage multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including architecture, networking, security, and cost optimization. Design, deploy, and operate highly available Kubernetes environments across multiple regions. Define and implement reliability standards, service level objectives (SLOs), disaster recovery plans, and incident response processes. Lead infrastructure automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code and modern DevOps practices. Build and improve observability, monitoring, alerting, and performance management systems. Develop intelligent operational workflows that automate diagnostics, issue detection, and remediation processes. Drive continuous improvements in uptime, scalability, security, and operational efficiency. Mentor and support a small team of infrastructure and reliability engineers. Partner closely with engineering leadership on infrastructure strategy, roadmap planning, and hiring initiatives. Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure reliable and scalable platform delivery.

What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure within AWS environments. 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure. Strong hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes environments. Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies. Experience building automation and operational tooling using Python, Go, or comparable languages. Deep understanding of networking, security, scalability, high availability, and cloud architecture best practices. Strong troubleshooting skills with experience managing production incidents and root-cause analysis. Experience leading infrastructure initiatives and mentoring engineers. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have Experience supporting large-scale data platforms or distributed systems. Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies. Experience implementing AI-driven operational workflows or intelligent automation solutions. Previous experience in a formal or informal infrastructure leadership role.
