Key Responsibilities: Lead discovery sessions with client stakeholders to uncover business drivers, risk tolerance, growth plans, and modernization priorities Design and architect secure, scalable, and lifecycle-aware solutions across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, storage, backup, virtualization, and Modern Workplace Translate business and technical requirements into logical and physical architectural designs Develop detailed quotes with accurate scope definition, labour forecasting, and pricing alignment Drive quoting strategy that balances competitiveness, profitability, and delivery realism Present and justify solution designs to technical and executive audiences, securing stakeholder buy-in Identify technical risks, dependencies, lifecycle impacts (EOL/EOS), and implementation constraints early in the design phase Collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure solution accuracy and successful handoff Perform peer reviews and quality assurance on presales architecture to elevate standards and reduce delivery risk Mentor junior team members and contribute to presales maturity and architectural governance Act as escalation authority for complex, high-risk, or strategically sensitive opportunities Maintain and promote SysGen’s core vendor stack and competitive positioning Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure design, presales architecture, or MSP consulting environments, with proven experience leading complex multi-technology engagements Advanced expertise in infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, and Modern Workplace technologies including Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS relevant certifications considered an asset Strong networking and security knowledge including Layer 3 switching, VLANs, routing, firewall architecture, and security best practices Solid understanding of storage, backup, disaster recovery, vendor licensing models, and lifecycle planning Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable architectural designs with accurate scoping, labour forecasting, and risk identification Executive-level communication skills with the ability to present, influence, and support negotiation in client-facing engagements Strong collaboration and mentorship capability with the ability to operate autonomously and contribute to architectural standards and governance Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience SysGen Employees are Guided by our 8 Guiding Principles: Collaboration Communication Consistency Expectations Innovation Integrity Relationships Responsibility SysGen follows the principles of equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusiveness regarding our hiring and promotion procedures.
