What will your typical day look like?

Conduct data protection assessments to help identify current state and gaps around data discovery, classification, labeling, minimization, remediation of access risks, etc. Document assessment results and help develop clear, practical reports and recommendations for client stakeholders. Supporting the team in configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), data discovery, classification, and sensitivity labeling solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, BigID, Varonis, or equivalent Supporting data lifecycle and data minimization initiatives, including data inventory, mapping, retention, and defensible disposal. Tracking and understanding the fast-paced developments in the privacy and data protection landscape, including regulatory change (Law 25, PIPEDA, GDPR) and emerging technology (AI governance, cloud data security), and what this means for our clients and the market Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather information, validate observations and contribute to remediation planning. Supporting the team to build actionable recommendations to improve the security of personal and sensitive information, including encryption, access controls, and insider risk Supporting project management and technical workstream delivery

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You

You are someone who:

Has an interest in data protection and cybersecurity gained through education, internships, co-ops, or personal learning. Has some technical experience around data security technologies (data loss prevention, encryption, data discovery, governance, etc.) Holds (or are close to completing) an Undergraduate degree in Information Security Management, Business, Risk Management, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Communicates clearly and are comfortable engaging with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Is curious, organized, and motivated to learn, with the ability to manage your time and priorities in a consulting environment. Has strong writing and presentation skills and enjoy turning complex information into clear, actionable insights. Approaches problems analytically and thoughtfully, and can explain your reasoning in a structured concise way. Is comfortable using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency in research, analysis, and documentation, and are open to learning new ways of working.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $90,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
